Associate Professor at Imperial College London
Health and Environmental Economist
PhD in Economics, University of York

I am a health and environmental economist in the Economics and Public Policy department at Imperial College Business School. My work spans three areas: how climate policies such as carbon pricing affect firms, emissions and health; how pollution and extreme temperatures shape health and health care use, and whether they hit deprived communities hardest; and the economic evaluation of health care, including bringing environmental sustainability into cost-effectiveness analysis. Throughout, I use economics to identify socioeconomic inequalities and promote environmental justice.

I am committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. I co-chair the People and Culture (EDI) committee at Imperial Business School, previously served on Imperial’s Athena SWAN team, and am a trustee of Beyond The Bias, which works to improve social mobility.

Teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I lead modules in health economics, healthcare analytics, and health and the environment across undergraduate, MSc and executive education programmes at Imperial Business School, and supervise PhD students. My teaching has received Imperial Business School Teaching Excellence Awards for undergraduate teaching and for PhD supervision.
